White antifouling?? Help plz!

hi guys

need some advice

I've just purchased a used 2003 ring ranger 25 in original white gel coat

the hull must have at least 6 layers of antifouling on it .

the final colour is grey but id like to paint it white.

im based on the costa del sol where we get our fair share of fouling on the bottom quite quick.

any tips on how to remove the 6 layers down to the gel coat the effeciecent way?

and whats the best white antifouling paint for high speed boats on the market that doesn't turn green after a while

all comment appreciated

thanks guys

ty

Soda blasting will be the least damaging way of removing the old stuff without taking an age.
Can do it with stripping chemicals but you'll be there a while and likely take a dozen years off your life!
For recoating, Trilux is a hard antifoul that wont turn green (no copper) or VC offshore, but no idea how the VC would work on a powerboat.

Otherwise, I have just coppercoated our SeaRay, it does turn a very dark blackish green. But its a one time job, lasts for over 10 years, good finish and no buildup each year.
Picked up almost 500rpm after doing it also..

Are there any antifouls that are almost as smooth as gel? I don't want to loose speed but she's gonna live afloat next year

I've always used Blakes Hard Racing White. It stays white and is relatively smooth.
