Why people won't talk to me when I've had a drink

It's now a given that it costs a certain amount for race promoters to put on a race in the first place and that secondly sponsorship of an event is not easy to achieve due to the fact that we are viewed as destroying the earth every time we put in.

So here's a novel thought, how about the local marine engineer sponsors him for a few quid towards it and gets his name plastered over the winning boat because he's prepared it so well and is rewarded by endless business resulting from his brilliance. Then follow that with another, say local, company that's wants to widen it's market coverage from exposure.

So two very short and simple paragraghs that I would like to see ten reasoning points towards.

I'll start you off...........................

1: The race promoters work within a framework run by people who love sails and utilise monies gained by powerboating membership to further the needs of the rag and stick brigade.

2: We are destroying the world because we are filling it up with carbon dioxide and that causes global warming. Excepting the fact that global increases in carbon dioxide have always proceeded not preceded global warming, but apparentely it will now work the other way round.

3: The local marine engineer is a past used description rising from the middle ages when a man who had learnt his skill could manufacture from raw materials a piece of equipment that would hold a boats aspect closer to the horizontal than was ever thought possible whilst under power with the added benefit that yaw control would also be possible. The modern day qualification is being able to set up an ebay account.

4: Local company has been f+cked over by Gordon Mc****nut and has no spare pounds to throw around.

5: Exposure doesn't work for anyone apart from Chaos because some bright spark invented the internet and you spend your life advertising for others benefit.

6: Powerboating is nasty to animals and I once saw one run over a seal. ON PURPOSE! Seals are really cute creatures and it will only take one more mindless death to put them into extinction. If you don't believe just listen to Al Gore, he's an expert on polar bears which have increased in population three fold but will be extinct because he says so.

7: Every powerboating race promoter I have ever met has been a millionaire. Therefore powerboating race promoting is a very profitable business. (Actually I have only ever met one powerboating race promoter and one millionaire but that's not the point. bastards the lot of them).

8: Powerboating has not got the viewers attention. I personally believe that this is because we do not have a short promoter with a bit of a milf as a wife and secondly Chaos has not been photographed by a national newspaper with nazi birds striking his arse with those paddle things whilst dressed in thigh length........................I won't be a minute.

9: Travelling is cheap. I can honestly say that all the travellers, pikeys, gippos etc have never paid one penny toward that upkeep of my land
