World Water Speed Record

I went to a talk last night given by Nigel Macknight, the man behind the Quicksilver project. Very interesting & I wish him luck but I can't help thinking that a man who has previously not been faster than 70 mph in a boat might find 300 mph a tad interesting

Nigel admitted that after a huge amount of input from Ken Norris they just couldn't get the boat to perform in scale model testing & so ditched most of his ideas. Note that the driver sits in the right sponson.

Here is a link if you are interested http://www.quicksilver-wsr.co.uk/

Cheers

Ian
