first boat

good thread
my first boat was a driver440 with 85 hp yam, it was black and white and i named it " the driver" went quite well, good handling boat in the rough, for a 14 footer, i bought it on brokerage from chas newens, putney ,over 20 years ago, i was only about 20 years old, i paid about £ 3,300 for the boat, and i was driving about in a 500 quid car

Billing Norden Cutter, bought for my 12th birthday by a slightly eccentric uncle, had to assemble it myself though.

Fletcher 140 with a Suzuki 70 if you don't count stuff with sails on it - otherwise it would be a Cadet dinghy! Suzuki was one from the Alka Seltzer era and had a crap gearbox - I sold it and it then blew a powerhead 2 months later!
