X-CAT Series

Alright Lads

Does anyone have the X-CAT race dates for the 2009 series?

Cant seem to find the X-CAT website...

was watching them on sky sports a few weeks ago - awesome boats they are, twin 280's bosh.

hi M8, X,cats site not 100% great but getting there , but try wppa x.cats , i think i read something about dates this morning ,not sure now, engines 280 or 300 opti i think .

I agree they kick ass. For the website I don't think there is one as it is one of 3 WPPA racing categories :

Giovanni Carpitella in 'La Vida Loca' 10 took the title this weekend in Dubai 18th April

In 2nd place were QATAR 94

In 3rd place were FAZZA 8

When I first watched a You tube vid of this series I had assumed it was the 4ltr way ie ... driver did all, I must admit I do not see the advantage of splitting the rolls up especially when seated in a cat not massively larger than say a 4ltr today would be if it was still a racing class ... however it is obviously more interactive for the 2 crew and therefore they have more cause to share the costs of running and maintain the boat
