Who was first into Torquay then? Warpath was on a charge when their tracker failed!

Cookee had problems early this morning and did not start. Warpath delayed due to a blown fuse from an overheating waterpump. Made it to Torquay and will be ready for the return run!

Hi Mikko,
top average race speed? Was the 1993 speed record by SM Racer broken?

Just out of interest, does anyone know why B8 had a DNF on the return leg after such a good run down in the first leg?

It would be interesting to see comparative times of Fabio's 2008 record for the CTC and Deans time of yesterday. Dean couldn't have been far off getting that record. Anyone have those times?
Great run Dean, as usual quite a few stories to be told I would think, Warpath, Boss, No Name, HTS, Cookee and Dorian etc etc. Grey Ghost wasn't going as fast as usual either!

Hi,
the link below will take you to some images of the racing taken off Anvil point .Got caught out by how close the lead boats went in shore on the way out, considering how calm it was, but they were a little more accomadating on the way back :-) (Thanks to the Boss boat for your flybys both ways).
Thanks also to Richard Frampton for getting me out there.

Deans average was just over 85 mph. Fabio, in 2008, a bit over 91 mph.
Dean raced for the win not the record. His boat is capable of 120+ in yesterdays conditions but his fuelconsumption is HUGE with those 2000 hp,s.
He also said something about a split fuelfilter on the way to Torquay.
