Safety Boats for 2013 C/T & T/C Race.

Once again I am "Drumming-up" safety-boat volunteers for this years Cowes Classic Race/s.
Most will be aware that this year the race will stop over in Torquay, re-starting for the run back to Cowes, & that the race is scheduled for 1st September.

I have already e-mailed last years volunteers, but there is always a need for more boats.
Therefore, if you have a suitable boat, & would like to assist in safety duties; especially in either The Solent or Tor Bay areas, then do get in touch with me, at: martin.napier1@talktalk.net
Thank you.

Its still three months + before the Cowes/Torquay Races but I am now getting down to looking at the safety boats needed.

We need more boats please !
Especially, for two or three hardy crews, we need two or three RIBS at Portland Bill, to ensure safety there, as it is likely divers will be in action, as is often the case !
So, if you can assist, or know a crew who can, please advise me, Martin The Talker.
Safety Boat Co-ordinator.

Thank you very much !

Can I gratefully thank & acknowledge all the kind owners/masters of volunteer safety & mark boats who have selflessly offered to undertake the much valued roles, without which an offshore marathon race cannot run ?
The BPRC, organisers of this year Cowes-Torquay & Torquay-Cowes Race/s are truly grateful for your making yourselves available on 1st September.
Needless to say, the racers too, are equally grateful - without such generous help, no racing can be undertaken.
We salute all volunteer safety & mark boat crews !!!

We still need a couple of boats off PORTLAND BILL, & a couple more off Anvil Point/St.Albans Head too.

Could anyone in those areas, especially Weymouth/Portland, assist us with safety boat/s for 1st September, PLEASE ???
