$1.2m Mti
I saw this boat at the Miami show, talked to Randy Scism (of MTI) and Gary Stray (of Superboat Rigging) who rigged it. 4 seats, no cabin, 44 feet, twin 1550hp Sterlings and they reckon it will do 173 mph! The noise police wouldn't let it run at Havasu, but it's going to have its public debut soon!
If you're wondering the photo at the bottom right is the anchor!
Enjoy - http://www.pier57.com/200644mti1.htm

Wow! Even the anchor is a work of art. That's something for the Cap'n's graphics to live up to!

It was all airbrushed - The pieces of dash were dipped / polished repeatedly - takes 10 days to make them - the throttles were $6,000 for the set!

The owner can't be that impressed with it if he's not used it yet but got it up for sale!
Interesting that it's advertised as a "2006" as construction of it started in 2004 and it was exhibited at the Miami show last Feb!

There are 2 or three stories about this boat - it was either:
A. Designed as an excersise and the owner never really wanted to use it.
B. Designed as a bet and is now for sale.
C. Designed with a TV series in mind.
Take your pick!

An exercise in what, spending money?
If it were a bet, that puts stavros' gambling habit into perspective.
