Very good, but fake. It may be something actually applied to the cars IRL, but fake.

Look at the boat. It is the *only* one with anything on it, whilst the others in the background are clear.

The building behind the last can has zero ice, but the car is coverd.

etc...

Its the little things that give it away.

I think the photos are real. The ice covering is caused by spray from the lake water freezing onto the vehicles, not precipitation. The ice is not covering the buildings because they are far enough away from the lake.

I would be amazed/highly impressed if they are fake - the lighting and ice characteristics look completely convincing. Either way, still great shots.

As 'Smith' says, clearly a result of spray from the lake. In this pic, the weight of the ice formed has been a little more damaging. I suspect the brickwork visible bottom left of the shot is part of the marina/harbour wall, so again, the spray would have come over this wall, and formed on the boats closest to it.


If this is 'Photoshop' it's a very talented user.
