Nah, I can't see that.

He 'gets ink' most every day on OSO, one way or another.

I reckon it has to be either a copyright issue, or simple sour grapes at another boat site getting hits 'through' theirs.

Remember, it played in a very 'Boatmad' window!

I bet, had it played in a 'putfile' window, or similar, it would'a stayed.

Fecking ridiculous when you consider how tiny this site is compared to OSO!

I reckon the old 'mid week meet' video only stayed coz they were all calling me a dumb-ass.

Ho Hum.

Are there any Gold OSO members here, who can see if it's been re-hosted elswhere on their site?

There is a video containing some of that footage, not watched all of it. Dunno if you can view it or not without paying:

Na, can't view that.

But, that'll be it, they won't want 'free' view video, similar to stuff they're hosting, that you need to be a paying member to see.

Understandable I guess.

Correction: I can view it.

And as I doubt VERY much that Duran Duran were paid for usage of their music for that video, it shouldn't really be a copyright issue.

The rest of that streaming footage with Sammy Davies Jnr etc, was sent to me on DVD by Jack Lieske (cashbrain)

You should see the list of videos that Graham has - just about everything from mid 70´s Bushmills / Benihana etc (and earlier I think!) all the way through. If it´s worth it, he´s got it!!

Probably a bit of both. They could have contacted you though to settle whatever issue they have. Maybe that's asking too much of the Yanks. It's still a great bit of video. I don't know if I could ever have had the bottle to run a boat THAT hard, although maybe 'cause adrenalin is a wonderful thing.

I think there's about 70GB free on the server - so I don't have any problem with even going up to 1GB+ vid sizes if there is demand.

New here to this site, just checking things out. I'm Panther from OSO.

The footage has been a round for a long time so I'm not really sure why the post on OSO was deleted. There was a recent legal battle with Apache and it's rights so maybe that has something to do with it, or maybe the video that OSO made had some of this footage on it.....

Whatever it is, it's kind of foolish to thing no one else in the world is entitled to it....

Anyway, Apache rules!

It's a 1995, 36' Bob Saccenti built Apache. I have T-700 hp blower motors.

On the Trip/Stuff, Bob Saccenti told the story on OSO. He said they were running and lost power to the trim tabs. Every time they would hit the trim button it would kill the motors. Bob said he set the drives/tabs where it was good 90% of the time and told his team to "hang on". They came in 2nd place!

There's a lot of grey area but basically McManus has the rights to Apache now. I don't know details.

It's a 150 ft wide opening, it's not as close as you think...

Fungarten,

He was being sarcastic!

A while back on OSO, I got ripped to pieces for a video I and a few pals made, where I did a close fly-by with our video boat (big cruiser)

An OSO member found the interim video on our media site, and posted that, without the finished item to reference it to.

The insuing thread was interesting, on OSO, Speedwake, Scream & Fly, The north Carolina watermas board, etc, etc, etc.

the OSO thread can still be seen here:

http://www.offshoreonly.com/forums/showthread.php?t=119225

Though sadly, the north carolina watermans board thread got poofed, as their threats of violence, insults to Britain (and the rest of the world) reference to religion, firarms, law and pig ignorance were astonishing!
