Press clippings from the The Press of Atlantic City newspaper plus the magazine that was on sale for the championship.

Great, Cougars everywhere and not only standing next to Don Johnson.

Must have been nice to have your boat sponsored by Mr Trump to help keep costs down.

And here's what's inside the official programme (or program as they called it).

I have that same picture on my works PC believe it or not, and always believed that I was on that very same level, far right in the red t-shirt.

Remember talking to some guys on that level and telling them I was from the Isle of Wight where the famous Cowes-Torquay powerboat race is staged and they had never heard of the race nor the place!

Stayed at the Resorts Hotel, which was not to far from this pier.

Graham Stevens was there. Anymore pics Steve? They're great. And what's the story with the quad motor hydro - did it ever run? Never knew it existed.

Gentry's turbo eagle certainly did not move that week. Did see Steve Curtis having a look round it for a while. It did have a feel of a display stand rather than something that was going to rip the waters up!!

Have spoken Graham about Atlantic City and his great pictures.

Will try and find some other pics.
