Assuming you go on sunday, are you trailering your RIB down to Lymington, or Southampton, or what?
We could do a little 'encoding on the fly'

Satisfaction was a Scarab same as Betty Cook's Kaama. Limit Up team ran a 35' Cigarette, a 40' Cigarette ex Doc Bob Magoon's Miami - Nassau boat, a 37' Cigarette "Peter Stuyvesant" and a 38' Cougar Cat. They also chartered Joel Harpern's 38' Cobra "Beep Beep" and Bobby Buchanon Michaelson's Planetec "ABO" which later became Macho etc etc. Mike Doxford, Tim Powell and Pete Downie crewed the 35' and 37', Willie Meyers, Keith Sparks and the Right Hon Maxwell Aitken now Lord Beaverbrook crewed the 40'. The cat was crewed by Mike, TP, Pete and Max. Coincidently Willie Meyers drove the 40' for Doc Magoon. It was the only one i've seen with headlamps. The incident when the cat delaminated happened in Poole Bay I think. Apparently Max couldn't swim and was still firing flares when the rescue boat was a matter of yards away. They also used the cat for the London/Calais only for it to hit driftwood and blocked the water pick-up pipes so subsequently overheated the engines and gearboxes.

I'm old enough but not quite as old as you. Though 40 is approaching rapidly!!! I'm not sure if you know me but you might know of me. I should think you know my father. He's an RYA scrutineer. Both my brothers have raced as well though mainly OCR.

Ciao, you should know, the pic of my boat should give it away. Graham Atlee. It was Derrick Mortimore who gave me the nickname "Splitpin".
Has anyone been to the Basildon Powerboat Museum?
Just spoken to my dad and he has dug out boat stuff back to about 1972. Watch this space.

The yellow boat tucked away behind Realite Charger is Brian Jardine´s old faithful steed Slipstream!! One of the nicest blokes I´ve met.
