That Cauldwell Axis Drive looks like a very smart design but how much additional stress does it put on the transom?

The Scott seats also looked good, if a little "complicated" compared to the Ullmans on show.

The thing with the Cauldwells is that you need a 45 degree transom to fit them, so moulds have to be modified - if you put a plant in the mould it would make the boat shorter, obviously not an option with stepped boats!
