i think my brother still holds the record for a 100+mph average lap around Bristol Docks in a F1 2ltr cat.

Ye you could be right, all I can remember between uni, pubs and clubs is they did away with the fastest boats and then it just faded out, but as ever when it came to boats offshore was really my passion

Probably right there, there would be plenty of crowds there again.
We had a couple of thousand over our 2 day events, that's just the passers by stopping to see what's going on without much media attention.

There was talk about using the dock outside Xcel in London too, great for the spectators.....
