It's a Cougar cub, will get you the year later think it's 79-80
Guernsey let drivers have a fun race in the first year of the event, was a real hoot seriously fun, will post a pic from home later. This would be a great class to introduce, it was tried once but failed. It's about the only thing I could afford nowadays.
The pic in question is a copy of the Class 1 boat at the time. promo thing

Pic came from a 1984 article in 'Boating', an American magazine.
Cougar had entered into an agreement with Mercury Marine to establish a one design series. Cub races were also to be run at all APBA Offshore national events.

here in new zealand we are trying to do something with the cougar cubs, most of our competitors with twin outboard or inboard cats have one of the little cats and we are going to have a bit of a promotional race at each of our venues, a bit of harmless fun!

Clive Baker has two Cubs for sale, well actually he has 1 Cub, and 1 Innovation marine, which was a 'splash' of the Cub.
I think they both have Merc 25's on
