Fantastic Jon all working for me now too
Watched the 85 and 85-B had the 85-B recorded from tele way back then and probably watched it about 10 times over the years although I haven't seen that tape for a long time until now, used to love that last shot of Cinzano flying high through the air at the end ( I hope Markus when you purchased Cinzano off them they never used the phrase ... one lightly used boat )
Think I watched the fleet come through Poole then motored up to Cowes with some other boats to see the finish but I remember saying wild horses would not drag me to race in that 3 pointer 3C death trap in the Cowes festival of that year

Just wanted to drop by to say that I've a lot on my plate right now but will endeavour to upload my pics again in the very near future - might be a lengthy process!
Cheers.

The Gallery is getting there slowly. Probably IRO 70% of the videos are now in place on the server and available to view.
I have just uploaded 170 images from Chris Davies taken during the RB08.
These 170 pics are the 'best of' set with wherever possible 2 or 3 pics of each entry. As with all the stills in the BM gallery, they are viewable by all @ 1000 pixel wide picture size, the originals are mostly 4000 pixels wide, so would blow up to poster size rather well.
If you see one you like and would like to buy the full res version, Chris can be contacted via email at: chris@powerboatpix.com or by visiting his website at: www.powerboatpix.com
Location in the Gallery:
http://boatmad.com/gallery/main.php?g2_itemId=25631 There are 6 pages of shots.

BTW I can`t see the Calender Album that was in the original multimedia. It should be on the disc as a separate folder.

For info the majority of my US pics are now back online. I went a bit crazy with the 'sharpen image' tool, which results in a somewhat grainy but sharper image. Other photo's will be uploaded when time allows.

The last movie from 'Batch 1' will upload tonight (Bournemouth '85).
I have a few other vids to encode & upload, quite a few actually, though some from the old gallery are sadly lost, as they had come from the web and I don't have copies of all..
Excellent to see Nige is also now going through the proccess of re-populating his gallery, thank you.
Graham, do you have much in the way of people shots? as in, pics of the racers themselves. I've put a couple of Carlsberg promotional shots in of Toleman & Smitty, and it occures to me that it could make quite a good album if we have enough material.

Mug shots
Short answer.No.Only from the mags and maybe the odd one I took myself. Can you honestly see me poking that Nikon at great and the good.Of course the star photo would be ML`s black jelly baby snap, subject to copyright clearance, but a nice idea anyway.
