nope didnt see it, but "interesting" claim of 300hp, is it an F1 engine then or a tuned 2.4/5? looks like a 2 litre set up, could be wrong . . . .

Thats Hutchy's old boat, I'm fairly sure he sold it with a 2.5 200 on it a couple of years ago.

Raced with us in 2006, was respectable but not a proper race boat.
Yam prop was twisted twice down from 26 to 24, bit of a dog now. Engine i'm afraid is not close to 300hp.
Set up is dreadful too, the boat rocked and rolled going in a straight line.
Plus £4500 reserve is a joke.
Hence no bids!

Didn't think it would float again after Robbie Coltraine went in it.

I honestly couldn't believe how big that guy was! Floats like a cork though. (boat noit Coltrane)
Completely stripped it for a new look, respray due in a couple of weeks.
I had massive trouble finding an 18 that someone hadn't cut the transom down in. It's just a waste of time! Buy a jack plate and you've got no problem! (my little pet hate)
Cutting transoms just ruins boats fater plus is looks a dogs dinner.
I had a go in it on the day Coltrane came to play and i had to have it. Handles so much nicer than my Ring!

We'll just have to wait and see wont we!

Handicap racing is great as long as your not running a 300hp p18 round at the front of the pack Roofer! As soon as your in the middle of the field its pretty competetive.

Handicap racing is not competitive, All you need to do to win is plod round at a steady 5000 rpm lap after lap, which is Exactly what Helen Loney does, and surprise surprise wins most of the races at Barrow.

Don't get me wrong, I think club racing is good, you get to race with a great mix of boats from an f1 cat with 300hp down to a p16 with 90hp, but there must be a better way of scoring points than the present handicap system.

If you race all out at barrow and try and catch the boat that set off before you you bust your time and get d/q.
