Is it a Turkish thingy
Kor that dont half look like Skater origin lower half. IMHO sitting too far back for UK waters . should turn well though, If you can see past the bow when the nose is in the air. "Pointed" gearbox on a honda !!!!! what next performance outboard?
Always fancied a rally raid with merc power at a Honda meet

Nice looking rig!

Bet it would go well if you hung a merc 300 on the back.

Bet it wont go that well with a Honda though

What do the 225 monos run? I didnt think they made it into the 70's??

Shame cos the 225 mono hulls look really nice.

Im sure if you popped a decent race motor on the back they would easy see 80's.

Has anyone though of buying one, changing the motor and racing it outside of honda series (class III maybe)?? or would they just not compete with the Bats?

Al

Looks a big boat for a 225 or even a 200XS in IIIC.
I'm sure you could get one from the builder but I suspect it might not be that simple if tied in with Honda

I looked at the photos and assumed the boat to be an old prototype, not a new one. Oops.

The official speed record is 67.08 mph
And they get very scary after about 60.00mph

Thats pretty poor then huh!

Whats the story though - is this because the hull isn't up to it or is it an engine / set up issue.

It's a narrow stepped hull with a very heavy, high CG engine on.

Quite a big boat (25' hull) not that much power, loads of weight (Honda 225) I don't reckon it's too bad!

And remember, the 'official' speed, is real, not a powerboaters tale. (ie: add 20%)

Loadsa weight up high though. And I always had the impression that while pretty long, it's quite narrow.

My reply wasn't in reply, or arguing with you, we posted at the same time (almost) and yeah, it's pretty narrow
