Didn't Damon go out in a boat a few years back at Cowes (maybe 2002?) and hate it?
He also was at the helm of a Victory team Class I boat with Randy Scism on the throttles a number of years ago on a segment of Watersports World.

Yes, I remember retiring from that event with broken propellors... I still have the bill for the repairs:

Lets see:

British Speed record Honda 225 --> 67.08 mph
British Speed record V24 --> 80.06 mph

Having driven both boats, I feel I am in a position to comment However you do feel like you are going faster in a Honda!

Thats nearly 7.08 mph faster than the bicycle speed record in 1900

Tricky we swaped places 3 times during that race, are you saying your prop was broken the whole race,you guys always knock Honda but this year we have 39 boats racing and most inportant we dont slag each other off, the 225 is the most dificult boat to drive so dont keep knocking something thats clearly growing each year try it you might like it.

I'm certainly not taking sides here as far as slagging, or taking the pith, but you can't seriously be saying that you think a 225 Honda, could get anywhere near a healthy running V24! Flat, or as rough as you like, there's no contest.

I'm not slagging any one off, just trying to defend Honda

I think that was all that Tricky was doing to be fair!

There is no doubting that the Honda series has been a great success, and it can only help the popularity of powerboat racing in general - Good luck to the Cider team for 2007!
