Introduction and some of my previous powerboats

Hello! my names Nick, been looking on here for a while now and after finally purchasing myself a ring 21 again a week ago and knowing a few guys on here I thought I would join up

I have just purchased a Ring 21 wich has been dry stored for the last 15 years with a mercury 200 on a gill bracket with bennet trim tabs, I am looking forward to playing with it in the summer! I am currently re upholstering it and giving it a refit to try and make it in to a pristene boat, heres some pictures

I thought you might be interested so I have included a picture of my old Phantom 23 which had a lightweight hull and one of only three ever made, it was originally called "supersoft" and was raced. I bought the boat and totally restored it fitting an old race engine from Alice (a member on here) and enjoyed a day out with him in his p25 out in the solent.. ahh the good old days heres a pic:

heres also a couple of pictures of my old phantoms etc:

I hope to see some of you guys out in the summer! and hope I can be of some help on this forum

Thanks Nick

Hi Nick,
I remember looking at your Phantom 23 a long time ago a guy from Littlehampton owned it (he lived near the lifeboat ramp) and worked for Adversane breakers, must be the same boat as that trailer is a one off. It was a long time ago but I don't want to remember how long as it makes me feel old.
welcome
Mark

I remember your Phantom in Poole Harbour in the early eighties!
It was owned by a guy call Grant & had a 200 black max if I recall correctly.
We always used to bump into him at the floating fuel pontoon in the middle of the harbour.......funny that!
I also remember the trailer and watching him make his way out of Salterns towing it with a Matra Rancho!
