Kissaki Project

Hi guys

Just purchased a 21 foot boat, believe to be a Marshan or Ring (please correct me if wrong) The vessel was in Sovereign Harbour for few years and originally rigged with a 200 optimax which we switched with the current engine on to a white Phantom 21. Can’t find a date or HIN but vessel has been sprayed black, originally white deck with a yellow hull gelcoat.

The vessel was sold last year and sadly not looked after to her best, poor cover and increased rain water resulted in her sinking to the bottom of the marina. The marina salvaged the vessel, splitting the aft port side in the process and sold the vessel on legal grounds.

Enter me, the proud new owner with some ambitious plans as finishing a university degree in Yacht Manufacture so putting some theories in practice. Part of this, other then repairing the hull sides will be a new interior structure replacing the plywood currently in place. In a similar manner to the Ocke Mannerfelt Batboats, coring foam will be bonded to the hull with a urethane acrylate to form the structure and laminated over with biaxial and epoxy resin.

Sadly only been able to de-rig the vessel and put the hull on the beach, not ideal place to work on the vessel but no other options available. though hoping to prep the sides and remove the flooring soon to then plan the next stage.

its a challenge i admit, but its not unachieveable. thankfully theres alot of good companies happy to help with advice. its all about putting my years of theory into practice and learning from the best method possible.

was low three figures, about the same amount as my brothers pay for weekend of petrol

Only trouble i really have is my mum not to impressed with it stuck on the beach

Strange one that as the 21 had the same screen as the 19 which is more "streamlined" than that one but it has the right shaped top deck for a 21! It looks more like an 18 screen. Maybe its a sharpe which are quite often mistaken for a marshan?

looks a bit of a mamouth project, but sounds like you have the right contacts to get it back to its former glory
shame really as it looked like it would have been a lovely boat before it sunk
to be honest i would have to agree and say it lookes like a sharp, burty had one many moons ago, a white one and looks v similar to yours
