Anticipating this, I produced mine with a 'set' in them, so they line up perfectly with the direction of pull from the lifting strops in use.

These are produced using 100mm x 10mm (3/8" x 4") 316ss bar. Boat weighs circa 6700lbs

Made the extended transom mount brackets for the IMCO steering at the same time and from the same material, to get the steering hardware away from the tab rams.

Being critical (coz I'm like that) they look beautifully made...polishing, welding etc, but it would have been nice to see a pretty radius on the corners of the mounting plate (as in a radius centred on the bolt centre), maybe CSK holes (personal preference) and, for the larger lightning hole to be the one closer to the root where the bracket is wider and the smaller where the large currently is,...plus, set the lifting hole itself central in the end radius, so that the material thickness remains the same around the end...purely from a aesthetic point of view, which of course is what those beauties are all about, with lifting the boat as a secondary requirement! just my POV.

Might also pay to ask any manufacturer outside the EU if they have proof of CE approval, and to check that each lifting bracket has its own individual id number which ties into the relevant certification.

I have got some 2 part cleaning product at home that I use, its the dogs mate, it re-passivates the stainless (unlike a standard polish which does just that polish)gives it as fresh protective layer. I'll bring it up next time.

Yeah, but WHO THE FKK used washers that are so big they overhang the edge of the bracket!!!!!!!!! This is not pretty aesthetics/rigging! I wouldn't have had washers at all under those cap heads (actually, I'd have gone countersunk, as indeed I did with my own)

Take no notice of me. I can be a bit picky over the silliest things.

It was meant as constructive criticism, not a dig. I think they look lovely, it was just a couple of aesthetic points that caught my eye.

Beautiful work.
