Just out of curiosity, how many boats usually come to the start in races in the UK? Do you have a british championship in 3C? How many competitors? Here in Sweden we have a positive trend with lots of new teams. In the season premiere there were almost 60 teams on the start line. Biggest classes are 3C, our junior class V50 and V150 (stock 150 O/B, 21 feet min lenght and 840 kilogrammes min weight incl crew).

Really sad to heat that british powerboat racing has diminished. I remember in the late eighties and early nineties when we looked in awe at the british scene.

Sure hope you get back to form soon!

We got lapped

There was a few of us that got lapped

But only once

Think we did 5 complete & Red flagged on the 6th before we finished it ( A blessing) ...... My nav says it felt like 16 !!!... Lol

Anyway..... A great weekend, with 7 newbies going through the race training programme...... Congrats to ORDA, OCRDA, SEPA

We were lapped-Bob and Nic

After our little sight seeing trip along the beach (My fault thinking everone else had turned arround the wrong bouy)still we didn't quite reach Brighton, and a minor stuff pulling the bump strip rubber out and a slight water ingress problem we were definately lapped.it definately felt like about a hunded laps.Nic
