Mug shot

Whilst most of you are known to each other, some folks like me are lesser so. If you see me in Cowes, don't be shy! Let's talk old school!

Alright, alright...

Fair enough... apologies for the childish, schoolboy humour.

It will never happen again... (!?!)

Great idea Nige. If you see me in Cowes and wanna talk boats, alert Crimewatch or lob a brick... here's the sad truth about what i look like...

Below is a picture taken a while ago, from my days in the Bee Gees...

..and a recent one, doin' the day job ( you know, lookin' after flowers an' shit... )

An interesting juxtaposition, a National Trust Flower Power– Petrol Head.

Lately the "dark side" has been winning...

Who do you think looks after some of the wildest, most beautiful coast you race past? (admittedly, slightly blurred at 80 + mph! )

I've been around boats (and watched the C-T-C) since I was knee high, though mainly with the "rag-and-stick" brigade...

I justify powerboat racing to friends and family by pointing-out that raceboats aren't out on the water for many hours in the year, that modern boats are much safer and more reliable thanks to the development they've continued... and that modern lifeboats are twice as quick thanks to racing, hull design and modern propulsion systems. Quite important if you're treading water in the English Channel!

And there's nothing more spectacular in the whole world than a raceboat across a rough sea...

Anyways, you gotta have some contrast in your life or you'd go mad... (?!)

Nothing wrong with the Bee Gees! I play bass in a band with one of their star keyboard players!
