As I said in an earlier post, the guys fecked up a little with their calculations, although in their defence I would argue that the pic shows the boat without any fuel, no seating and a very small motor.
Now I wonder what Sloggits excuse is?

TD, I know there are no seats but because ribbers can do it standing up, have you tested the boat?

TD don't forget I've promised to test it. It's got wimmin- appeal with that art-deco/med look . The boat I mean.
And Trevor agreed with me.
But if loads of women visit to view then you'll have to get the House Doctor in the workshop (at least to replace the art work)

I knew that, FGT, I may be old'n stupid, but I ain't blind..yet !
Even so, compared to us "workboat" type ribs, that's still a long way out the feckin' water.....Is there that much "lift" at the stern under way?

When you normal ribnobbers break the magical 20 knt barrier you'll experience "lift" it's marvelous!
(shutting door on bomb shelter now!)

I'm nearly there now... bowline, clove hitch, sheet bend, round turn, blood, grinner, turle, Palomar, nail, needle, water, surgeons, clinch, rolling hitch, sheep shank, ......No... not experiencing any lift yet...need more knots......

if the tubes need to touch the water at rest in order to make a rib great, then how the hell have hard boats survived all these years without em, they must have all been useless. Now if its a dive rib I understand but for a sports rib.... WHY is it still deemed essential?????

Oi! Wind yer feckin' neck in!...
No one here said it was essential. All I asked was what function the tubes perform if they don't touch the water......seems a reasonable question to ask, or are we all expected to have your knowledge of these things?
