Graham,
'course i tried to buy a ring 1st.....Mike happilly quoted me....then just cut the moulds up.
Mr Baker told me in plain english that he didnt think a Phantom was the right boat for me....which was awefully decent of him
now look where i am!

Shiney Pink Ring!
(1) if your being a dirty boy, shame on you Mr Fuller!
(2) if your concerned that with my pending purchase, i still refer to them as 'nice rings', thats coz i still think they are aesthetically brill (niotice my recent increased use of misspelt flashy words?)....especially the '20 @ my ski-club in bright pink........that must have been done for a gag!!
its called extacy!

Captain Chaos - generally I have been well pleased with the Ring21, the build quality seems robust and the cosmetic aspects are largely OK, although there some minor imperfections in isolated areas when it was pulled from the mould.
The colour scheme is another thing, wanted to avoid blue and red as they seem to oxidise too readily, although this may no longer be a problem with current pigments but don't know. Agreed on dark purple and dark grey as the contrasting colours, although it ended up being a little too pink !
Mine is the wide bodied version, which Mike still makes. I would be interested to compare the handling and performance to the narrower Ring 20.
Are you any closer to choosing a boat
