I would just like to put on record that this was indeed a fantastic event at a great venue with some fantastic committed racing across all classes and if it returns to this venue i would recommend anyone remotely interested in powerboat racing to go along and watch.
As for my posts , in hindsight i should perhaps have kept things to myself but was frustrated at the time about an opportunity missed and just felt like getting it off my chest.
The specific points raised by Jeni regarding safety are totally valid, or though not universally applied, and i have no issue with them but will take you up on your offer and contact you privately in the near future .

Regards

Smile Update from LuvMyBoat.com

Hi Everyone

Well we have finally managed to get a cell phone link with Jeni, to be fair Jeni had tried to connect but the network thwarted her attempts so finally we have communicated.

We have stopped the clock moments before thermonuclear destruction would have occurred.

On a serious note we had a great discussion and we have a large amount of common ground and I believe that we can now move forward towards working together in the future.

For the record we want to support power boating in all forms and I am sure that we can come to an agreement with PowerboatGP that is mutually beneficial for the parties and ultimately the sport.

Ciao

Clarification of BBC Comment

Further to my comment about the BBC being thrown out of an event this year, apparently I was wrong, despite double checking our source we had the wrong end of the stick simply our source was wrong.
For this error I apologize and unreservedly withdraw the statement.
Ciao Geoff
