In it's early guise, it was claimed to be very quick, but it never held a speed record, and I don't think it was, however, after tony bought it, on the promise of being a 'upper 70's' boat, it turned out to barely do 60. He spent a lot of time, and money, working on the set up (surface drive height, props etc) and built some pretty tasty small blocks and I think it ended up running 77/78mph, really quite good. The surface drive setup meant it was bloody quick in a head sea. There were lots of superb pics of it at the time, as it always seemed very photogenic, with perfectly level, elevated flight most of the time.
Dunno what motors are in it now.

Known as Ambassador, Superluminal, Tanglefoot, and Pink Beaver, to name a few, discussed in this thread is now for sale.

Apparently it's had been made 'race ready' but the owner has been unwell, so never got used.

Current owner looking for £20k, see pics below.

Hey Jon,
How would this boat run with 5 blade props, bearing in mind i know nothing about prop set ups and would like to be educated..?

I would love to know we're they spent the money as seem to remember in TC hands the boat was up graded with Speedmaster shafts and rolla props with rake to lift the bow as she always run bow down with the Bellamy set up inch positive wedge for trim lifting the bow and a two inch lift in x dimension with a pair of 375hp sbc with 76cc Chambers which is pretty healthy 450 9 to 1 at best on 186 heads I don't think so = 900 hp 25ft surface drive it don't add up 🤔

Considering a pre 85 sbc casting can only achieve a port v of 280 ft/sec and ported 300 Ft/sec on 23 deg head on a 1.840 valve and a 76cc bath tub chamber
