P25 Restoration- Back to Black

Some of you may remember the Black (and Silver) Kevlar P25 advertised a while back.
And I'm sure you'll agree that awful Silver colour scheme is well rid of.
We'll be collecting it at the weekend... so more pictures soooon.

Does anyone have an old race deck canopy like the one in the pictures below, that I can either buy or take a mould from?
Cheers

re gelling

Do you know how much approx it would cost to have a p21 re gelled mine isnt too bad, just a bit on the dull side . Or is it possible to have polished and a few small digs filled. Thanks in advance Nick.

Hi there Daren,

I'm afraid progress has been pretty slow. Infact, she was stored in a barn through the winter until about June of this year with no further progress at all. Mainly due to my having a major shoulder operation back in January, which meant, I was unable to start the refit for some months.

Progress since last October (the picture above)
The new rubbing strip fitted.
Full cover made.
Modifications to the floor to allow easier access to the cudy cabin/bow area and removeable floor over the fuel tank.
Drawings for new fuel tank. Not yet fabricated. (So if anyone knows/has a P25 tank please send a PM)

I shall take a few pictures at the weekend. assuming you're/or others are still interested in the minimal progress.

Steve

Hi Nick1,

Being a perfectionist, it's cost me thousands to get the deck sorted.
The only reason I took it on was the rarity of finding good, late, none raced P25, of Kevlar/Aromat construction.

So if your's isn't badly crazed and just a little faded I'd just use some elbow gease and try polishing it up first.

If it's just the deck I would either have it filled and polished or sprayed in two pack paint - just my opinion!

If you fill it the colour match has to be perfect!

Latham or Imco steering wanted

Just wondered.......Is anyone selling any Latham or Imco steering suitable for a P25 with twin 200XS's?
Before I buy new.

Also, need a twin gear shifter....preferably side mount.

Cheers
