wish I had been there, recon I missed out big time as it look's so much fun, and the weather played along for a change...sticking my 2cent's worth in on the DVD, if it were me I would just want to sell the whole shoot for say 450-500 to Boatmad and let you guy's fight over who buy's what, and for what price, although I would offer a viewing to a select few (frisked at the door for consealed video cameras) £500/£20each only need to find a home for 25 sales !!!!!!

That makes a lot of sense & I suspect that's what he's actually doing. He probably thinks that he's going to get ripped off as soon as the first few vid's are in the wild; so he's priced them well high!

If it wasn't copied then it would be the first cd/vcd/dvd in history that wasn't.

That sounds about right.

Is there any further news on this vid? is it open to 'boatmad' or whoever pays for it to copy and distribute? has anyone bought it? is/was the copyright included?

I would call the guy but I want to save the 10p as I suspect that he's already had this conversation with one or two people already.

Woss up wiv you lot?

I don't want to point out the bleedin obvious, but do you think reading all this penny pinching bollix on Boatmad is going to inspire this, or any other company to make the effort, or deal with anyone from here?

If a pic costs a £100, and it's more than you're prepared to pay, don't fkkn buy it! If they want 'x' for video footage they have of your boat (which, by the way, I don't think exists anyway, and was a missunderstanding) and you think it's too steep, don't buy it!

But advertising that you'll happily copy one so everyone can benifit cheaply will simply mean it would most likely be the last video, or pic, you'll get offered, and that includes those who were prepared to pay.

Use ya feckin noddles for christs sake!

Go buy a disposable camera for a couple of quid, get a mate to take a shit pic of ya boat, and enjoy your Value for Money!

Don't try and Fkk it up for everyone else!

Rant over.

You know what I'm like so I'm just going to say this...

If the DVDs were cheaper they would make more money as everyone would have one.
For most people here £115 is a tank of fuel.
If they were £30-£40 then I would have one, I might even buy Tony his too but at £115 I cant afford to buy one! £115 is a lot on money for a DVD, and yes I do realise the costs of shooting such a thing.
£40x40 is £1600

All who would buy the DVD at £30-£40 say I

I

If it's that easy, phone up Alastair, ask him if the 400 quid give you rights to the footage (and if not, how much xtra). If so, spend the money, burn some copies, sell em on and make some money yerself.

It's easy to sit on the sidelines and tell somone else how to run their business - if you think it really is that easy get off yer arse and DIY.
