Thanks everyone for the kind comments, I think I am getting the hang of it now after all these years !
Viagra ? Retirement ? No chance. Hmmm, Now where did I put those fagpacket jottings of that 50 foot sportsboat ??? I have the running surface already in production so that will save some work and time............
Engines are Mercrsr Mag 377/6.2 with B1, 1.5 /1ratio.
I am still dialling the boat and myself in ATM, trying props, shifting ballast around etc. It all needs patience and time .
I would like to do the Ranger 34, but I need sales of 3 boats to justify the tooling costs. Take 3 of em Dowdy , you know you wanna !
Looking forward to a great weekend.
Mike

Very nice, as ever great lines with the Ring, reminds me of Aston or Porsche in so much as they to all through their incarnations are still recognisable instantly as a brand --- Great to see it finally enjoying a wet bottom

Nice pics of Overlord , the first I have seen as I have only driven the beast to date and not had a chance to take pics myself.
Does anyone else have any action shots taken over the wekend ? I would appreciate your posting or email !
Thanks ,
Mike

We took a few of you yesterday running past us. Will post them in a day or two. She looked and sounded absolutley incredible when you ran past us chasing the fleet down the Solent off Yarmouth. You looked to be doing around 70mph and very comfortable too. It rides very high. A sight to see and hear.

Thanks Mike,
The boat was built light as you can always add mass ,not so easy to lose it!
Now we can ballast where needed.
Mike

Absolutely awesome, well done Mike - it looks incredible!
Please don't hate me though, I don't personally like the way in which the grey stripe flicks up at the back, is there a particular reason it was done that way? Just goes against the lines to me from the pictures.
Not a criticism at all obviously, just a question
Cheers, James

James,
The line rises aft to blend with the height of the aft deck across the transom. This also repeats the 'screen' base line and other curves such as the instrument area and the engine hatch intakes and exhausts. When you view the boat from every angle it all makes sense (to me anyway !!!) Look at the pics I posted at the start of the thread.
Its not exactly a new idea as it features on the 25 Sportsboat and the Ranger even if less pronounced . First used in the late Nineties , just tweaked for the 34.
Tell you what James............. place an order and I will mould one just for you without the lift in the line !!
Mike

Ha ha, that's what I love about British boat builders! An american builder would've told me to like it or lump it!
Sadly slightly out of my price range for the time being, rest assured it'd be right up there on my list if I find myself in the market for a 30ft+ race/sport boat!
All the best,
James
