Ben, I´ve never seen any video footage from that race - can you upload a clip? Or better still tell me where I can get hold of a copy?

It was sent to me by a friend in the States.
Might be able to help with a clip soon as I am anticipating a visit from the download/upload maven this weekend.

Chris,
Welcome to baotmad I know Geoff and Alan Leyton (Geoffs latter race buddy) well as does Splitpin who is also on BM. Remember racing against Geoff in B15 at Allhallows basic race in 1991 our first ever outing, please to say we won that race.

Clive Jones and me in a little Fletcher 129 c/w Yamaha 55 with Power Trim!!!!! It was my first ever race, but hey, what a bloke to do your first race with.
Thanks Clive it has been and still is much appreciated.
It was Clive's Uncle Chas who took the pic. I think my old man may still have the video he took from that race in Dave Lee's 21' Ring "Quick Erections". I'll see if I can transfer pics from it.

Right, I'm cancelling that 38!
|
Don't cancel it.
Found some video footage that I didn't know I had. Buzzi lost the heat but won the Superboat championship in 94 - AND 95!
Shows what I know.

Estimated 35 foot jump
I got that video of the finish at Ramsate where I hit the wave and fly. If you use the V24 as scale, I am out the water for about 35 foot!
