Sighted in Sarasota

So that's where it ended up.

The new Velocity yellow dinner jacket/pfd combo. They are all the rage in Fla.

Don't rightly know what he got for it but the thread from 'Boat Freaks' mentioned that it was a '32 race boat powered by a single 900 owned by Bruce Baker'.

I'm pretty sure the boat was sold with the 720 cooking motor but Bruce from Express Marine could have easily replaced the engine.

Apparently, the pic taken on a Velocity 'Fun Run' was taken in the last week or so.

Absolutely. Still has the round 'Dialed in at Lake X' round stickers on the gunwales as well as the Gaffrig mufflers he had installed just before he took the boat to the South of France.

By the way, Tony only paid for and thought it was his boat. It was my boat.

Met Bruce from Express Marine in Miami whilst I was over there - quite a character!

Ben, it seems Bruce from Express marine now owns the yella boat, he bought both of em, and flogged the white one.

It runs 84mph and is used for poker runs etc.

That makes sense. Bruce might have taken the blower motor from the white boat and put in the yellow one. I also think he kept the right one. I much preferred the yellow boat over the white one even when the white one was converted from twin to single.

84 mph sounds about right. The most I ever say on the GPS was 83 with two up and full fuel with the 'corporate hospitality' prop (26"). With the 28" it ran just over 88 but we could never quite get it to 90 mph.

By the way, how did you find the info?

So Tony, I'm guessing your in Fla.

If so please say hello to Bruce for me and 'Big John' if you happen to run into him.

What Fountain?

Bruce is at Drivers Wharf installing a wee 950hp blower motah in the old Buzzi mono that Neil Holmes and Stephen King are gonna race in Pro Vee.

It's the one buzzi took to Key West with a big 8 in it, the year after the Yanks banned diesel coz he beat em wiv da Seatek powered boat, he spanked em wiv da blower jobbie too!

Steve King bought this one, and Howard Wretham bought the Fountain version (same boat wiv a 'Reggie' sticker on it).

Neils is now sporting a new 'Express' motor (& spare)
