So what does your office look like?
(Alternative thread title - 'Who has the most posters?')
Mine used to look like this, taken a few years ago when I used to work in the UK.

Posters & Stuff
Nigel,
I used to have a large 4 foot x 2 foot poster of Dry Martini (1973 Cig 36) along with an A3 size Unowot photo purchased at the time (with many weeks pocket money) from Bekens
These were flanked by large 2 Oval decals Cowes Torquay Cowes 1973 and 1974 (one had a triangle shape boat image and the other was Embassy Express) and a Daily Telegraph BP Needles Trophy Decal which I think came from Hot Omelette.
I also had a centre page spread pinned up from Powerboat and Waterskiing magazine of ABO (I think this was the first incarnation before she delaminated in S America ).
In front of these on the shelf were Cut off skegs from the drives of Unowot- a souvenir from the shed at Fairey marine at Hamble Point and another skeg from Dry Martini- given by Richie Powers while Dry martini was in the shed at Groves and Gutteridge at Cowes.
And pride of place a leader board from Cowes Green tent where there was a commentary position- I think 1973 also with 222 (Nicopao) Leading and finally 717 on top at the end.
With a misspent child hood like that I was never going to grow up to be a football fan!
Pretty sad I know but you never forget the smell of salt water and petrol and the sound of a pair of 600HP Kiekheaffers.

Wow, Richie Powers,Martini, Shead, Uno - can't beat that, very cool! I believe Kiekhaefer went on to cast his own lower units for #3's without the skegs.
I did have a section cut out from the hull of the 39' Bounty Hunter and I was personally given an Alitalia T-shirt by Commander Petroni in '77. I've also got a jeroboam of champagne from Cinzano after winning the CTC in '85, nothing left in it of course!!
I think I know the Martini poster you are referring to, undeniably THE boat of that time.
I'll never forget the build up to Cowes in those days - first a trip to Fairy to see what international boats were over and then Groves And Guttridge - irreplaceable! That of course combined with the start off the RYS - a true spectacle, which we sadly seem to be struggling to repeat..........still, we can live in hope and must remain grateful the race runs at all!!!

Maybe we should extend this to include your 'working environment' and not 'office' specifically - that way those who work in the marine field generally can share their pics!

I found these and thought they should be posted. Whilst they’re not a permanent fixture in Ratman’s office, the photos are taken on his office floor – does that count?

It was seeing this photo Marco a few years ago that made me start this thread, once I had found my photograph! Merry Christmas!
