An excellent sport.

Am also interested for next year, even if it was just a couple of close-to-home races!

Gav's 19 would handle the rough stuff no probs but how would it go with only 130hp? the others are doing low 60's

Apparently we had the most entries at Torquay & will have more entries if you all stop talking about it to come & have a go !! You won't be dissapointed.
I am sure Gavs 19 would make a good OCR boat, Ultimately we are there to put on a good show for the public.
If any of you want more info pm me or give me a call. Dont be Shy
Bob

its not really about top speed the boys from gib are top runners
with a speed under 60mph (although they have now changed to a yam 130 from a tohatsu 140 which has helped there top end)
it is probably more important to have good corner speed and good boat-handling skills as the courses are a bit shorter than they used to be and are usually run very close to the shore to help spectators get a good view of the action. so the racing can get very frantic with people trying to out-turn each other especially when it starts to chop up
so like bob says COME AND HAVE A GO
(and from what i remember the seaqual was always classed as a top handling boat so should be perfect)

not sure how it would go with only 130hp, but i am 100% confident the handling would certainly make up the difference as anyone who has driven a 600 for themselves will tell you!
