I am awaiting news on standings for the days racing as things are a bit of a rush there due to cranage and readying for the Parade etc etc but I'm sure one of the guys will duly post soon.

The Powerhead was retreived, A Catastrophic Engine Failure !!!
The front powerhead bolts were completely sheared off and the rear looked ones intact and the driver indicated ''A possible gearbox failure'' as the cause but it all happend doing 80 mph ..

Hiya .. Just wanted to say thanks to everyone for all your help yesterday. Sorting me and my boat, after I lost an argument with a big wake. Thanks for all the emails and calls ive already had this morning and thought I just better let you know that im fine, necks a little bit sore but actually the blister on my finger is more painful!

Boats going on a diet so we don’t land so hard next time :P .. and i'll be eating lots of chocolate so I get a softer landing.

Congratulations to everyone.. you all looked great on the water. And to all the organizers, I really enjoyed the weekend.. and we will be back for Plymouth.

Ashleigh

Hiya.
A big wake took me by surprise and the boat landed hard on its left hand side after the third wave. Hurt my neck and shoulder so they had to take all precautions and take me to hospital for a check up. Been told its whiplash and just need to rest it. Not too bad just a stiff shoulder at the moment.

What was more worrying was the paramedics talk of cutting me out of the boat. Not sure dad would have had enough time to completely rebuild the boat in time for Plymouth.

And luckily the quick treatment at the hospital meant I was back in time to collect my trophy

Now its time to visit the gym and strengthen my neck up ready for testing.

Ashleigh

Riding a motor bike at high speed does a great job of building your neck muscles.or a safer way is to put your helmet on and drive along with your head out of the sunroof-a couple of thousand miles should do it.I'm allways good at useless advice
Glad you OK!
Cheers Nic
