Possible due to an external water pickup - looked quick!

Let me put it another way - Impossible without an external transom mounted water pickup - the tube you can see running down to the gearbox is feeding the engine with water from a pickup mounted on the transom and even a Mercury Sportmaster gearbox with low water pickup in the front of the bullet would struggle to get any water pressure I would think.

Is the engine that far out of the water that much of an advantage.
Just wondering.

Let me ask you another question - with the boat doing almost 100mph do you think they know what they're doing?

That was impressive. I wonder if they did it with a Honda because they like a challenge?!

I've heard the standard Honda 225 described as guttless many times over the years but never experienced one myself first hand.
