And before anyone gets the wrong idea, this was a pure racing accident, not the result of poor or careless driving.

The incident occured just after the start when Unipart hit a ferry wake and barrel rolled directly in front of HFS. There was no way they could have avoided Unipart.

That boat got a cosmetic repair, so it could continue the 'Unipart' advertising, but never raced again.

I think the one in Essex is still open, it has Chris Kay's Sabre diesel speed record boat amongst others.

There's also one in France, where 'Mariner Magazine' (quad OB cat) now lives.

Mebbe we need a boatmad powerboat museum trip to Essex! white handbags n stilletos at the ready girls!

Matt, Vix, Angela and I tried to go the Newport one, although the sign said it should be open (timetable) the Fkkr was shut, and we took about a fkkn week to get there from Cowes on public transport/feet!
