Are they OK in Winter ? (Sorry; bit off -thread this but godknows it's never stopped me before...)

Missus

Oh and do they need you there every day? Or do they get on with stuff while ye are away...

(Our little goldfish are excellent pets...'cept when the Heron has a go...)

Yes, they're fine. They roost in the trees and they're very hardy. We do feed them but there's a good supply of natural food in the summer, slugs, bugs etc. and neighbours are helpful if we're away.

Those herons are sharp eyed.

Sounds like peacocks are good pets...any downsides?

Oh the herons are clever devils...worth having a little pond just for their visits tho.

One flies in, sits on the tree to check if we're in the house & then wades in...careful fisheman that he is...

The fish do alright tho' and they also survive the annual visit by a grass snake to the pond...seems like she spends May in there for some reason and sheds her skin too...pops her head out as she swims around; cheeky as you like!!!!

Actually I'm half expecting to see Suzuki Pete scooting around the pond next with his new prop!!!!!

BTW...getting back to the thread...TD you couldn't splash a Scorp for us could you?

Stick some CE marks on it while you're at it...

I'll send you a few photos of a mate's bote...

(Only Jokin Mind)
