From what I read on S'n'F the Go Cat handles bad & never performed with the intended 15-30 hp.

Looks really good though! A bit more along the lines of our mk2 version of the 3.5.
With our small cat it was a question of setting it up correctly - and all a question of what you expect from a small boat.
If I didn't have so many projects on the go .....

Our comments on the handling are interesting, could you send me a link to S&F thread? I’m designing a 3.7m modified cat at the moment, and every thing related interesting.

Not much movement lately - but still keen to do the new version.
The original moulds are at the College on the Isle of Wight - and I believe they are building one for a schools challenge.
I have progressed a boat / design file on the new version - totally different styling, wider and about 3.9M long. All works out very well and I'm sure it would be a real blast to drive.
Just when I can fit the project in I'm not sure. We are very busy with two customer jobs where we design a new RIB, create the tooling and supply moulds - one for Greece and one for a Scottish company.
After that I hope to fit in a project for myself - but it could be a new race boat. If not then will most likely do the small cat, although I have a list of about 6 or so projects I would like to progress! All have different merits - but all would lead to new developments and potential for more builds.
So will have to see where things go - in mean time will try to get a presentable image together for the 3.9M cat.

If I do the 3.9 cat it will be with full moulds - will only make 1 myself as we don't want to be doing production boats but would then be able to sell moulds or license out.

I am doing a modified cat as well, and I am planning to be in the water in water around x-mass, and construction will start as soon as I complete the drawings for the tooling. Model testing was completed this Easter and results were very encouraging. It is designed to work with engines from 10 to 25 hp.
Maybe we can have a race, or start a new class?
