2.5 280 spark plugs which ones ????

i replaced the spark plugs with the ones marked on the front plate (see photo) and the engine would not run so put the old plugs back in and it ran fine but they are old and need replacing ,spoke to John GMC on here and asked what plugs he had in his 2.5 280 which were different to what it said on his front plate, his front plate said champion QL77CC which is what mine has in and runs . the question is what plugs are correct ??? thanks lloyd.

Plugs

You need NGK bpzbh-n
R. 10
Better than the champions
I use them in my 280
The r is under the NGK and the 10 is under the bpzbh-n

Try the NGK BR9HS gapped at .040". If you need a hotter heat range try a
BR8HS gapped at .040", the'll work GREAT..

I think the R's is for a "normal" stator style ignition and will fire fine with that type of ignition. The Z's come on the newer style ignition that seems to be not so strong a flame and turn less RPM and don't need to recover as quick..
