Whats the fascination with the laps all the time ?
You only managed one last time Larby anyway !
If someone really wanted to interpret our classes and win they would bolt on a 140hp or 130HO to Hugh's old 17foot ring make sure it finishes and of you go a gaurentee'd class and possibly overall winner-job done.
You wouldnt even have to drive as many laps.
The fact Hugh wants to drive more laps in a larger engine speaks volume for Hugh-good on you mate
Larby stop moaning & driving like a Girl !

I've said time and time again that i believe the winning rig would be a P20, or a batboat, with a 300 on the back. Unfortunately, i can't afford two boats, and neither of the above are exactly family friendly!
I doubt an Evinrude would be the way forward for reliability, the only one of them which has raced so far had all of it's transom bolts falling out by the end of the race, one completely, due to the gash excuse for a mechanic who fitted it, no coincidence that he's going through court for another similar matter at the moment so i hear?? Another of his fine craft sank the other day!
Oh and me drive like a girl?? I don't think so somehow! Once I've got myself sorted with a decent rig (I'm the first to admit I've had a crap year this year), if the handicap system is realistic, i fully expect to be kicking some serious arse next year. The one poker run I managed with my little 330hp engine, no one could come close on the last leg, on the penultimate, the only other one i ran, i started some distance behind Kev and was level 1st with him to the mark.
Oh, and I mullered Jacques with his 250HO down the river last year in my old cat with a 2.5 200 on the back!

Drive like a girl, pfffft, whatever!

James

Well yeah, so do I, but then it's on revenger's website as a 27. Mine measures out at 25ft on the dot, I'm guessing mebbe it's called a 27 sometimes as i believe it usually came with a swim platform? I've definately told the harbour authorities it's a 25!!

Edit: sig now changed to match!

I thought the San Marino was the 27, coz they included the bustles in the length, but the hull was exactly the same..

What were these bustles like? I've never really seen much of a San Marino. Did they offer much advantage over my hull without them?

Cheers, James

Larby, Don't forget you gotta cyanoacrylate the head gaskets on if you run a supercharger, otherwise they blow.

Larby the commedian!

Mullered me down the river? What a load of s*** mate! You only crept past a weeded up ring 21 that was doing 55mph - so you must have been flying at about 56/57 mph mate! Well done!

You like using the mullered word hey mate, and you are talking like you have been racing for 10 years and have won multiple consecutive championships! Is your name Fabio Buzzi? Lol

I can use the mullered word too mate - I mullered you in the Herm Race.

Talk is cheap - let your racing do the talking.

respect

And mate you shouldn't be slating mechanis on here - especially when you have no idea of the facts.

That boat sank because a huge wash came over the back - It happens a lot - just look at cowes. What the sea does is no the mechanics fault. And what's this about court? Utter rubbish.

The mechanic in question you are slating, who shall remain nameless Larby please - (out of respect, you want to be a marine trader - imagine if someone on here was slating work you had done for him!) - but the mechanic in question is a very good mechanic who has looked after all my boats for years and consistenly does an excellent job, he prepared my race boat for all 4 races and I started and finished all 4 races so I think that shows the quality of his work

Please mate out of respect don't slate professional marine traders on here, its not right.

Talking Turn up the heat.

You guys are making me laugh reading all that.
I would also like to say that I also had a rather unfortunate year and did'nt even make the start line.
Hopefully next year will be better.
Think i will aim at the 2L to 4L class. More competition.
Let the racing do the talking EH..
