6LP white smoke (exsessive)

I am working on a 6LP STZE and its got alot of white smoke from start up out of gear and there is a massive amount of smoke. white diesel smoke. had it up to running temps and it stays the same its done 1700 hours and the history is unknown.
just had injectors serviced and its still the same
in gear it seems to go but I dont know if the prop is pushing the smoke back through the water??

any help and ideas??

Would have said a bad injector but you say they were serviced. Check injection timing if it's ok then do a compression test.

I would say poor compression, on at least one cylinder.

Does it crank over evenly if you do so with the wire off the injector pump so that it wont start? A worth while simple test, as one, or two cylinders down on compression sill be very apparent as it cranks. You hear the weak cylinder 'skip' as it cranks. If it cranlks nice and even, ie all 6 compressions 'sound' the same, it probably aint that. if it's at all un-even, it's worth going to the aggro of a proper compression test.

PRINCE CONSORT- why do you ask that have you never had to ask about something in your trade????????

I have cracked the injectors off one at a time while running and the front 3 have a change in tone/pitch the rear 3 do not change. the heads should be overhauled at 700+ hours so 1700 is a good time to get it apart and cleaned check and lap valves etc
