Advice please DERR !!!
As you may have seen through the various threads, concerning my boat, I don't have a clue . I found that the electric trim sender, on my engine, is not working corectly. I guess, from looking through the threads, the way forward is to fit a mechanical one?
Also. Do you think I would benefit from a nose cone, or am I being a bit too adventurous?
Any advice is appreciated. Plus, if yes to either, do you know anyone who has what I need, preferably just laying around.
Thanks
Peter

Cyco makes mechinacal trim senders, i wouldn't worry about a nose cone cus until you get a shorter midsection you won't be able to lift your engine high enough to benifit from it
get a 20" mid and a bullet box at same time you should be able to pick bout up for less than a grand

re Help
Burty, I have a 20" mid on its way from Finland, as we speak. That's why I was asking now, so that if nesecery, I could have it here at the same time and fit it all together. So what do you think. Thanks. Peter
Dan, I did PM you regarding the mechanical sender, I just need to find the mechanical display. Cheers. Peter

Is it coming with a gearbox too? you could probably get it built into a proper bullet gear casing for around the same money as it would cost to buy and fit a nose cone

Dan, who is CYE, how can I get in touch with him?
Burty, No, it's just the mid and 20" shaft. Any ideas who would have the correct casing? What's involved?
Thanks to you both.

Cye is Cyco on here. you will have to pull your gearbox apart to swap the shafts anyway so you might as well get it built into a bullet casing. Send Phantom Evolution a PM as i'm sure he would have a spare bullet casing for sale
what about the water pick up tube?
what about the gear selector?

Unless you like the look of a Sportsmaster/CLE type box, your wasting your money, as the max speed of your boat doesn't warrant one. They do like nice though.
As for mech trim actuators, you need to buy the correct one for your midsection. I've got one for a std mid for sale, (built in trim pump) and I need a pair for offshore mids. (remote pump)

Mid has arrived
Mid arrived in Mallorca today, will collect it tomorrow. Looking at the manual, for changing the drive shaft. Not a simple job, specially without correct tools. Have been told it's a two hour job, by someone who knows what they're doing and with the right tools. The trouble is, over here anyone with more than a waiters degree costs a fortune.
Does anyone think I would be better off buying a new gear case, complete with drive shaft. Obviously one that is known etc.
Will check out prices for having the job done but any suggestions from you lads, would be appreciated.
Thanks again
Peter
