Alien Cowl - Mariner

Hi Folks,

Does anyone know if an Alien Cowl (the style gav is making) will fit a '95 Mariner 150?

Or will they just fit Merc 2.5's etc?

Dave

Tank - looks good, not sure on the graphics colours tho!
What's involved in fitting it?

Gav - any pics of your version?

Usually its p/head off and refit with new custom underplate.

Bottom tray bolts/ rivets to this plate. cowl sits in top and is located/fixed in place by a custom fitting (such as a bunjee).

not sure how lower skirt fixes

Yeah i'll take a few shots for ya tomorrow.

the bottom skirt fixes on with "well-nuts", little rubber thingies, with encapsulated nuts, very easy to fit!

the graphics in the advert are what the customer wanted i can basically just about do any graphics you want so if you want them to match your boat or intereor it would not be a problem.
do you have anything pacific in mind?

i use a metalic looking gel which i use to use a lot in aviation parts.
the clips on the mariner are stainless over center clips i fitted one to the front 2 to the rear because the customer wanted to keep the sides clear.
i am currently working on a new way of clipping to try and keep that nice sleek look.

Well the boat is white with a blue screen and yellow stripe, interior is white and blue so I guess a grey cowl with blue stickers would be good!

I need to sell my old boat before I can buy any mod bits, so I'm just building a list of feasible mods atm, this one is top of the list if it can be done - and it sounds like it can be done!

Can you PM me some prices for the cowl, fitting etc (though I might have a go at fitting myself, it doesnt sound too hard)?

like the stickers, not sure about the grey, looks dull.
As far as I am aware from my days at Barrus, all mariners are metallic (apart from the new ones) did the customer want that grey?
