All v6 gearboxs interchageable?
couple on ebay one off a 2.4 they fit a 260?

You need a cle or sportsmaster for your engine but most v6 box's will fit

Yup
as long as they are 20" shafts
All internal's arn't though older ones have a preload pin on the top of the shaft and these internals won't fit into the newer casings

All 2 liter, 2.4 liter, and 2.5 liter gearcases interchange. They won't interchange onto a 3 liter or the old 3.4 liter, both of which are unique to their size engine. (4)

i can see the box has no low water pic up and missing bullet shape but i know you can buy nose cones with water pick up
they look cheap

lot less hastle to just get the right one in the first place. You have to graft on the nose cones then fill gaps, rub sown, paint etc sound like loadsa work to me.

Don't think internal parts are as strong as a cle so won't last long.

Yup as roofer said the race boxes (CLE and Sportsmaster) are alot stronger than the standard ones.
