Ballast dump fitting

Hi
Does anyone know where to get a brass ballast dump valve (transom fitting)like the one Steve baker used to fit ?

They still do one it's called a lever gate valve.

Hi guys, are these ballasts all what their made up to be? i have got most of the parts for one, but didnt use one last season. went though some rough seas and thought it may be helpful??

The trick is to have a ballast tank that's only just big enough, to big = carrying to much weight and there's tripping and stuffing the nose in, I ran a p18/xr2 with a 35 litre tank and that worked well. (Most people have big tanks 100 litre + they feel great because you just punch through every thing)

Thanks mate! sounds about right, infact we were coming around from dartmouth at this point, just going past start point when i went into this sea... the force bend my dash board..!

I have got an 80-100l tank which, from what you say, may do just the job, as it wasnt exactly nice for me and the GF at the time..

Thanks, ill make sure its added for the summer!
