Thanks for your PM FrenchBruno.
I run a P19 with no electrical 'toys' so I assume the one in my post will do the job with 5 stars.

I've used a slightly larger version for several years and I think they are very good. I leave the boat connected up permanently and it has definitely extended the battery life.

Hi, just bought the next one up CTEK Multi MXS 10, I looked at many makes and after reading the reviews settled on this one. I think they are excellent and a very clever piece of kit and worth the investment.
I bough the MXS 10 as for the little extra investment it will do not only my boat but everything that I am ever likely to need but I am sure the MSX 5 does the same thing just at 5 amp max charge. I will say that I have tried it on several dead battery with out much success, I think once they go beyond a certain point or if they have damaged cell’s that’s it. Very compact, 10 years ago would have been 10 times the size and weight. They are also good if you have AGM (absorbed glass matt) deep cycle batteries or Optima which are spiral wound AGM.
However if you have a good battery that you have allowed to run completely flat they will spike it back into life and charge, maintaine and test it thoroughly where as a normal charger won’t. Battery’s need to be maintained or trickle charged if left for more than a few weeks otherwise the plates in the battery crud up and shortens the life, this does all of that.
Ebay item No. 320731137819 £107.25 free delivery.
IMHO well worth the money.

Received MXS 5.0 yesterday and put it in action last night.
Just checked it ,,,, power light still flashing, no charging program lights!
Switched it off, checked the battery connections, ok. Switched on and selected Normal Battery Mode.
I'll check later to see if there is any change.

Cteck 5.0
Good explanation here:
May be your problem was just on the wall receptacle! bad contacts.
Cteck are very reliable and safe to use.

Had a go in the daylight, it went straight to Stage 3 when I got a good connection to the battery terminals.
