Battery for Yamaha 115hp V4

Can anyone tell me the rating of the battery I should get for a yamaha 115hp V4 with power trim / tilt?
I have a battery box with a 097 63AH battery in it but want to check if its the right battery before replacing it!
Recommendenation of any online traders would also be greatly appreciated!
Looking forward to receiving your replies!

Regards

Julian

You will find online ordering of a large wet cell battery the shipping with be very expensive.

Unless you take your boating very seriously a car or prehaps a "leisure" abttery will do you fine. I imagine 90% of people on here run regular car batteries. Although they get a battering and wear out quicker on a boat they are so much cheaper than the sealed gell stuff racers probably use.

Get yourself down to a local automotive factor, the kind of place garages buy their parts from.

63AH sounds adequate, nothing to stop you going up in size slightly if you really want. Automotive factors will want to know terminal type (almost certianly round pillars) and layout (which side is +ve and which is -ve) I doubt the layout is important unless one of your leads is particulary short, just go with the cheaper option.
