Big block engine builders
Stupidity and sloppy winterizing has resulted in a siezed block which hopefully is not cracked. (water drianed / anti freeze added but I have seen clear water pockets in the block..)
Not sure yet if I will build it or put it out but I will need to dye or sonically crack check it - do you know some good builders who could help?
Im in South West - boat is in North Devon.
Heads are off and so far I see that condensation on No 2 cyclinder has created rust nodules (which can be removed by screwdriver leaving a stain which should hone out) and there seems to be some gasket leak at No 7 cylinder which might be a bit tricky at this is at TDC but it has been soaking in auto fluid for 3 weeks. Also the plate under the intake manifold is covered in rust! Is this normal?
